The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield is threatening to break past 1.70%, the neckline of a so-called inverse head and shoulders pattern. The yield almost reached that level in a bond selloff Tuesday on concerns about inflation and monetary tightening. The right shoulder of the pattern is tracing another inverse head and shoulders with a neckline of about 1.75% -- a break above the 1.70% to 1.75% resistance opens the path to 2% in 2022.
